What is Innovation day
The Cosmetics Center is an association active at a national and international level which every year, during Innovation Day, brings together over 70 companies operating in the make-up and cosmetics sector. It is a B2B event focused on training and reserved for Italian and foreign entrepreneurs, journalists, researchers and buyers in the cosmetics sector.
Polo Innovation day is dedicated to the innovation of the cosmetics supply chain in a sustainable way. This year too, as in the successful 2019 edition, which saw more than 800 visitors and 45 exhibition decks, major international brands in the sector will participate.
We at IDM Automation once again have the pleasure of participating, to contribute with our machines and systems to the innovation of cosmetics. You can find us at stand ID24.
This year's edition
This year the event will take place Thursday 22 September and will represent a precious opportunity to address and enhance the issue of green in cosmetic products. There will once again be the opportunity to interact with an international audience eager to network and connect with other players in the sector, participate in training events and discover new trends, to always stay up to date on news.
The event it will start at 09:30 and last all day, until 16:00.
The day will be divided according to a precise program. Various workshops have been organised, including three round tables, i.e. moments of dialogue and discussion between experts and protagonists of the cosmetics world on the topics of sustainable packaging, the ingredients of green make-up and sustainability in skincare. False myths related to eco-sustainability will be debunked and issues related to the creation of long-lasting, but at the same time sustainable, cosmetics will be addressed.
Continuing with the day's program, from 3.30 pm it will be possible to attend the awards ceremony for the Innovation Awards. In particular, products, formulations and packaging deemed innovative, creative and above all sustainable by the jury of experts will be rewarded.
The focus on sustainability
Sustainability is one of the issues that all those who work in the cosmetics sector are called upon to adapt to, in order to focus on innovative, functional and at the same time green solutions.
In this sense, we at IDM Automation we will participate to bring out the fundamental role of automation for sustainability. In fact, in a historical period in which it has become essential to reduce emissions of polluting agents while maintaining high production capacity, automation can play a decisive role for our customers, helping to maximize the use of energy resources, minimizing waste. For our part, the nature of our processes, which imply digitalisation, saving of time, raw materials and ultimately less waste, and the constant commitment towards an increasingly green and renewable Industry 4.0 represent the effort towards a lower impact compared to others industrial processes. As expert engineers we know how to create new systems, but we are also aware that some systems, such as the environmental one and the context of our customers, simply must be respected.
