What is the Innovation Day?

Polo della Cosmesi is an association active at national and international level that every year, during the Innovation Day, brings together over than 70 companies operating in the make-up and cosmetic industry. It’s a B2B event focused on training and reserved to Italian and foreign entrepreneurs, journalists, researchers and buyers of cosmetic industry.

Polo Innovation Day is dedicated to the innovation of cosmetic industry in a sustainable way. As in the successful edition of 2019, in which there were more than 800 visitors and 45 exhibition deck, this year big international brands of the sector will join the event.

As IDM Automation we have the pleasure of attending the event, to contribute to the innovation of cosmetics through our machines. You’ll find us at stand ID24.

This year’s edition

This year the event will take place next Thursday 22 September, and it will represent an important occasion to face and enhance the issue of green in cosmetic products. There will be again the possibility to meet an international audience willing to networking and connect with other actors of the sector, attend training events and discover the latest trends to stay updated on news.

The event will start at 9:30 a.m. and will last all day, until 4:00 p.m.

The day will be marked by a specific program. There will be many workshops, among which three round tables. They will represent moments for dialogues and comparison among the experts and the protagonists of beauty sector on the issues of sustainable packaging, green make-up ingredients and the sustainability of skincare. False myths linked to eco-sustainability will be dispelled; furthermore, the problems related to the creation of long lasting sustainable cosmetics will be addressed.

Following the program of the day, from 3:30 p.m. people will be able to attend the prizes for the Innovation Awards. In particular, the products, the formulas and the packaging that the panel of experts will judge as innovative, creative and sustainable, will be awarded.

Focus on sustainability

Sustainability is one of the topics to which people who work in beauty industry must adapt in order to pay their attention to innovative, functional and green solutions.

In this sense, as IDM Automation we’ll join to emerge the fundamental role of automation for sustainability. Actually, today it is essential to reduce polluting emissions trying to keep a high production capacity, and automation may play an important role for our clients. It can help to maximize the use of energy resources, minimizing waste. Our processes involve digitalization, saving time, raw materials and less waste. Our constant commitment is a 4.0 industry, more and more green and renewable. This represents our effort for a minor impact compared to other industrial processes. As expert engineers we know how to create new systems, but we are also aware that some systems, as the environmental one and our customer context must be respected.
